    At Ashtabula County ESC, we have a comprehensive onboarding process to ensure new hires are well-prepared and informed before starting their positions. Key steps in our onboarding process include: 1. **New Hire Onboarding and Orientation**: Our orientation program introduces new team members to the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center's values, objectives, and key programs. We review our services, employee expectations, and how each role supports our mission to enhance educational success in the community. 2. **Background Check and Permit**: Once the prospective hire decides to continue with the hiring process, they will be required to complete a BCI and FBI background check. This can be done at the ACESC for $60.00. Most employees are required to obtain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education for $25.00. 2. **Required Documents**: Before the first day of work, new employees must complete and submit various forms including but not limited to: - Proof of Identification and Employment Eligibility (e.g., Passport or State ID and Social Security Card) - Completed W-4 and I-9 forms - Direct Deposit Information Form - Education and Certification Transcripts (if applicable). These documents will be submitted to our individual Records File. This structured and supportive approach helps new employees feel welcomed and ready to contribute effectively from day one.

  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Payroll Schedule
    Employees are paid bi-weekly, in accordance with the dates outlined in their contracts. To view the current pay schedule, please refer to the attached document which lists each pay date for the year. Be sure to submit your timesheet by the deadline each pay period to ensure timely processing. For additional questions about payroll, feel free to reach out to the Payroll Department.
  • Payroll Submission Deadlines
    To support accurate and timely payroll processing, we advise that all employees submit their timesheets weekly, by the close of business on their last scheduled workday each week in TimeClock Express. Timely submissions are essential to ensuring accurate pay each period. For any questions or assistance, please reach out to the Payroll Department.
